While describing the incident as a disturbing circumstance, the Deputy Governor said Niger State Government is conscious of its obligation and will not allow any person to be subjected to inhumane treatment irrespective of social, cultural, religious or educational backgrounds.

He also re assured that the State Government is in tandem with the Federal Governments measures that will tame human trafficking and will not condone any act that is a treat to peace and stability of the State.

Comrade Garba re affirmed Farmer Governor Umaru Bago’s deliberate attempt in addressing acts of violence and terrorism through provision of employment opportunities and poverty alleviation policies with a decisive approach to ensure restoration of peace and human dignity.

He used the medium to call on traditional rulers, Council Chairmen, religious leaders and parents to always be vigilant and report any suspicious movement or activities of persons to the Law enforcement agencies as the Government will deal decisively with anyone who aids human trafficking under any guise.

The Deputy Governor appreciated security agencies and particularly the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons NAPTIP for their efforts in the arrest of the suspect involved in the crime and subsequent profiling and return of the victims to Niger State.
