The Co-Chairman described the efforts of the Niger State Government on livestock as the unlocking of opportunities that have long been locked.

He further stated that what the committee members have seen is pleasing and expressed confidence that within a short period of time, serious productive activities will commence and would be the beginning of positive transformational change that the President and all Nigerians are looking forward to.

He stressed that the farmer Governor is no doubt leading in livestock and that there is a lot of experience to share and to motivate others to follow suit.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago said he is excited to have the Presidential Livestock Reforms Implementation Committee members led by its Co-Chairman, who he said is a respected Nigerian who has paid his dues in all ramifications.

He said one of the ways out of poverty is to transition from local breeds of livestock to hybrids, disclosing that his administration is poised to do that.

The farmer Governor promised to ensure that the Presidential Livestock investment in Niger State becomes viable.

The farmer Governor, the Co-Chairman of the Presidential Livestock Reforms Implementation Committee and other members of the Committee as well as top government functionaries were conducted round the livestock farm by the Programme Coordinator Livestock Niger Foods, Dr. Tumsiyya Maimuna Mann Isah.

The sections of the livestock farm visited were the field school demonstration pen, Artificial insemination and fattening section, feed lots among others.
