“No need for blackmails, let’s meet at the polls” – Captain Joe Agada fires back at group

… Says days of imposition are over.

June 15, 2024

The Captain Joe Agada for Kogi State PDP Chairman team has fired back at a group known as Kogi East PDP stakeholders , asking the group to stop all its efforts to blackmail the process leading to the forthcoming State congress.

The team said it is not surprised at the antics deployed by the faceless Kogi East PDP stakeholders to resort to blackmails in furtherance of their agenda but amazed at how low they continue to descend.

Isn’t it funny that this group of stakeholders who are mostly populated by characters who abandoned the course of the party (PDP) in the last gubernatorial election to pursue an agenda in the SDP, Accord party and APC have suddenly turned around to speak about imposition?

The campaign team invites well meaning party stakeholders to note that these stakeholders are hiding under a finger to try to impose a candidate who can protect their unstable characters and greed.

We want to state emphatically that the Senator Lah’s caretaker committee has made it abundantly clear that where there is no consensus, the aspirants must go to the field to test their popularity.

If anything, it is the so-called Kogi East PDP stakeholders that are trying so hard to undermine democratic practices with their impunity to emasculate the process by imposing a candidate who will suit their pecuniary gains.

The campaign team said it is focused on delivering Captain Joe Agada at the congress as the Chairman of the PDP in Kogi State in few weeks from now to rally an effective opposition party.

The team also noted that the constant whining by this notorious faceless group is a signal that their transactional politics which has become their hallmark is coming to a disastrous end.

Our principal, Captain Joe Agada is poised to reposition the party and cuff the hands of those who continuously use the PDP as a bargaining chip to satisfy their selfish desires.

It is on record that while respecting the Tom Zakari report and the review committee report which in their wisdom zoned the office of the State chairman to Olamaboro LGA, Captain Joe Agada has constantly maintained the need for a free, fair and transparent congress. There is no record anywhere that Joe Agada tried to stifle other aspirants.

The team stated that Captain Joe Agada is a thorough-bred democrat who will submit himself at will to the best democratic practices which include free and fair elections.

Mr. Agada’s campaign team, however, cautions the faceless group to desist from mischief and stop trying to push an agenda that is dead on arrival.

Signed:

Captain Joe Agada Media Team
