NTARH Backs President Tinubu’s Reelection, Citing Commitment to Economic Reforms

On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the National Traders Alliance for Renewed Hope (NTARH) officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu for reelection, asserting that Nigerians have opted for continuity instead of the negative campaigns from desperate candidates lacking presidential qualifications as the nation approaches the 2027 elections.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Bolingo Hotel in Abuja, which attracted representatives and supporters from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The event gathered leaders from various trading sectors, including market women and men, emphasizing the importance of their collective voice.

Alhaji Prince Olatubosun Yakub, the Director General and Convener of NTARH, addressed attendees, highlighting the vital role of millions of traders and entrepreneurs in supporting the ongoing economic reforms initiated by the President.

“To those candidates seeking to sow discord, it is clear that Nigerians have chosen continuity over their smear campaigns,” Olatubosun stated.

He emphasized that the NTARH represents the collective endorsement of all traders, entrepreneurs, and business owners for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s continued leadership, stressing that the current economic reforms require time and commitment to yield positive results.

Olatubosun also pointed out various infrastructure projects, including the Lagos to Calabar coastal highway, Sokoto-Badagry highway, and Abuja-Lokoja highway, as well as initiatives like local government autonomy, unifying Nigeria’s exchange rate, tax reforms, and improvements in agriculture and security. He noted that these efforts are designed to stabilize the economy and attract foreign investment, further justifying their support.

Additionally, a representative for Senator Adamu Muhammad Aliero of Kebbi Central expressed admiration for the traders’ endorsement, stating that it reflects the senator’s belief in the President’s strong performance and commitment to reelection. He assured that Kebbi Central and the entire Kebbi State will rally behind Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

This press conference occurs amidst shifting political dynamics and early mobilization by various support groups in preparation for the 2027 general elections, with political figures already positioning themselves despite the elections being over three months away.

Alhaji Olatubosun extended his gratitude to Distinguished Senators Idiat Oluranti Adebule, Distinguished Senator Adamu Muhammad Aliero,
Distinguished Senator Ahmad Sanni Yerima, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, and others for their steadfast support.
