Nukpis Church,Celebrates Valentine With Members in Grant Style.
It was a joyous moment at the Church of Christ in Nations,COCIN LCC Nukpis,R.C.C Jos Jarawa as members of the Church reunited together in Love as they observes the Annual St Valentine’s Day.
The Event took place at the Church Auditorium and led by the Leading Pastor. Rev. Kefas Gumap.
Teaching about the History and significance of the day,He said the day started in the early Roman Catholic Church.
According to him,the Roman Empire was the super Power,at that time,they enacted a law that prevented young men from getting married rather should be Joining the military to defend their nation and
St. Valentine was a Priest and he understood that the people were in pretends under that law.
St. Valentine went out of his way and started joining people in marriage,when Emperor Cletus heard about it,he was arrested and executed, before then,he was in a relationship with a young lady and promised to marry her. St. Valentine wrote a love letter to her that I love you with the whole of my heart, before his execution,that attracted the attention of the Church and had a second thought hence, resolved to remember him every 14 of February.
Significant of the day.
Today is the day of showing love to one another and exchanging of gifts just like Jesus Christ is showing us love therefore,it is not out of place for the Church to celebrate a day like this. We should show love in our homes, Churches and everywhere.

The Red Colour Symbolizes Love and Romance between you and your spouse.
Pink Colour signifies You have accepted a proposal,black color is rejection of a proposal, Yellow Color is a symbol of broken hearted .
The program attracted members within and outside the congregation.
Highlights of the event includes, Presentation of music ministration by the Church groups among other programs.
