NUPRC Commissioner to Bury mother, Mrs Comfort Oyebola Agbeke Babalola (JP), on August 14 in Omu-Aran

Non-Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Engineer Sunday Adebayo Babalola, has announced that his late mother, Mrs Comfort Oyebola Agbeke Babalola (JP fondly called Yebola will be buried on 14 August, 2026.

A statement from Babalola, further said she died at the age of 96, on March 27, 2026. The statement added that the deceased was born around 1930 into the family of Chief Olukotun Awodo, a High Chief from Ilaro compound, Omu-Aran in Kwara State and his late wife, Iya Awawu Omorinola.
Babalola explained that the late nonagenarian during her life time, was a devout christian, a women leader, a hardworking and astute but compassionate businesswoman.

He added that she gave birth to nine children while seven are survivors.
The burial announcement, stated that there will be a night of tribute on 12, August, 2026 at 1, Samuel Adeniyi Babalola Crescent, Brig Gen Bamigboye Estate, Omu-Aran, Kwara State; Wake Keep on Thursday, 13 August, 2026 at Ijowi Ground, Oke-Ajaa, Omu-Aran; while commendation service will be on Friday, 14 August at Cathedral of St. Paul (Anglican Communion) Omu-Aran, Kwara State to be followed by her interment.
