Ogbeni Olumide Faleke Congratulates Hon. Haruna Ibrahim on His Appointment as Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Charges him to harmonize both human and natural resources to optimize development of the area
A chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress and Abuja based business man, Ogbeni. Olumide Faleke has extended his heartfelt congratulatory message to the newly appointed Caretaker Chairman for Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Yomi Haruna Ibrahim, described the appointment as well deserved and a call to service.

He disclosed this via a press statement he signed and made available to journalists in Lokoja, noting that though the appointment is on a caretaker basis, the responsibilities of the office is clear to provide the needed leadership for the overall development of the local government.
He noted that Ijumu land is blessed with both human and natural resources, hence he is expected to lead the way in harnessing those resources to optimize the development of the area. Ogbeni Faleke expressed optimism that the newly appointed Caretaker will achieve much for the people through purposeful leadership, strategic planning and partnership with the private sector investors, government agencies, international donors and stakeholders from the local government.
He urged him to make transparency, accountability and rule of law his watch words, thus changing the narrative by continually engaging the people to keep them abreast of the situation and development towards rebuilding citizen’s confidence in the local government as another important tier of government
Olumide said protection of lives and properties should also be a given adequate attention as it is only in a secured environment that rapid and sustainable development can be realised. He pointed out that having demonstrated capacity in nurturing and growing his business in private capacity, it is expected that the Caretaker Chairman brings his experience to bear while serving the good people of Ijumu.
He said the local government is endowed with numerous natural resources like marble, limestone etc on commercial scale hence he admonished him to harness the huge potential to facilitate rapid industrialization of the area for the overall benefits of the people especially the youths.
He advised him to justify the confidence reposed in him as to whom much is given much is expected, pointed that he should distinguished himself by building social capital and not liabilities. Ijumu is watching out for the young game changer who will change the narrative positively.
