Okun League of Progressive Elites Condoles Okun Development Association over Passing of General Secretary, Barrister Femi Oloruntoba
The Okun League of Progressive Elites (OLOPE) has extended condolences to the Okun Development Association (ODA) over the passing of their General Secretary, Barrister Femi Oloruntoba.
In a statement, OLOPE described the news as “profoundly saddening” and expressed solidarity with the ODA family during this difficult time.
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Barrister Femi Oloruntoba, a dedicated son of Okun land and a committed member of ODA,” the statement read.
OLOPE noted that their last meeting with him in Abuja was remarkable, stating that the meeting led to the historic ODA visit to Governor Usman Ododo in Government House, Lokoja.
According to the group, Barrister Oloruntoba held his last public meeting with the Okun League of Progressive Elites, where he preached unity and peace in Okunland as his primary responsibility.
Barrister Oloruntoba, a retired Director from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, was a key figure in ODA, playing a crucial role in promoting the organization’s goals and objectives. His passing is a significant loss to the Okun community.
The ODA is a prominent organization dedicated to promoting the development and unity of the Okun people, focusing on economic growth, community peace, and political governance.
OLOPE has prayed for comfort, peace, and healing for those impacted by the tragedy and urged members of the Okun community to come together to support the bereaved family.
