PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU APPOINTS HON. DUROSIMI MESEKO AS BOARD CHAIRMAN OF  NIGERIAN BUILDING AND ROAD RESEARCH INSTITUTE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Hon. Durosinmi Meseko as the new Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI).

The appointment, announced today in a State House press release , was praised by industry experts as a strategic move towards bolstering the institute’s capacity in tackling Nigeria’s infrastructural challenges.

Hon. Meseko, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, is known for his vast experience in public service and his commitment to national development. His appointment is seen as a testament to his expertise and a recognition of his significant contributions to the nation’s progress.

“This is a pivotal appointment for the NBRRI as “Hon. Meseko’s proven leadership skills will be invaluable in guiding the institute towards achieving its objectives.”

The NBRRI, a government-funded research institution, plays a crucial role in developing and promoting innovative solutions for the construction and road infrastructure sectors in Nigeria. The institute’s research findings are essential for policy formulation and the implementation of sustainable infrastructure development projects across the country.

Hon. Meseko’s appointment is expected to bring fresh impetus to the NBRRI, as he is known for his commitment to transparency, accountability, and strategic planning. His leadership is anticipated to foster collaboration and innovation within the institute, while ensuring its continued contribution to Nigeria’s infrastructural development.

APPOINTMENT OF BOARD CHAIRPERSONS AND CEOS

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed board chairpersons for 42 federal organisations and a secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.

The President has also appointed a new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a director-general for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

President Tinubu directs the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organisations, emphasising that their positions are non-executive.

All the appointments take immediate effect.
