PRESS STATEMENT ON THE ABDUCTION INCIDENT IN OMI, YAGBA WEST LGA

The attention of the tactical security team has been drawn to the unfortunate abduction of a man by suspected kidnappers in Omi, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, which occurred today, 30th December 2026.

We wish to inform the good people of Yagba West, Yagba East, Mopamuro, and Kogi State at large that our men have since been fully deployed and are actively on ground. Intensive operations are ongoing, and strategic efforts have been put in place to trace the kidnappers and secure the safe rescue of the kidnapped victim.

We assure the public that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring that the victim is rescued unharmed and that those responsible for this criminal act are brought to justice. Our operatives are working tirelessly, in collaboration with relevant security agencies and local intelligence to achieve a swift and successful outcome.

We appeal to members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with security operatives by providing any useful information that may aid the ongoing operation.

Please note that our Security Operatives only started today and are yet to settle down but in the next two or three weeks meaningful achievements must have been made and it will be impossible for the charlatans to come close to any of our communities.

The safety and security of our people remain our top priority.

Lion Squad for Special Operations
