NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE PLATEAU STATE YOUTH COUNCIL
Fellow Plateau Youths,
As we step into this New Year, I encourage every young person to see this season not just as a change of date, but as a fresh opportunity to grow, build, and lead.
This year calls for bold ideas, creative thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The future belongs to youth who are willing to learn new skills, solve problems, and turn ideas into action. Whether through business, technology, agriculture, arts, or community service, each of us has something valuable to offer.
Let us move away from waiting for opportunities and instead create them. Innovation begins when we challenge the norm and dare to be different. Do not be afraid to start small, make mistakes, or ask questions. Every successful entrepreneur you see today towed the same line.
I urge you to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to personal development. Support one another, collaborate, and use your talents to bring positive change in your communities.
May this New Year inspire us to be creative thinkers, responsible leaders, and courageous innovators.
The future belongs to those who build, not those who burn.
Stand peaceful; Stand purposeful; Stand for the needs of the people;
stand up for those who cannot defend themselves, and speak out where silence allows injustice to grow. Your voices matters. Your actions matter.
Good governance does not begin in offices alone it begins with informed, brave youth who demand fairness, accountability, and leadership that serves the people. Choose integrity over fear, truth over convenience, and unity over division.
Standing for justice does not always require loud protests; sometimes it means refusing to participate in wrongdoing, helping the vulnerable, asking hard questions, and holding leaders to higher standards through peaceful and lawful means.
This new year, let your strength be measured by how you protect others, and let your courage be seen in your commitment to building a society rooted in dignity, transparency, and hope. The future is watching and you are shaping it.
Build the Youths, Build the Nation. Happy New Year.
