RE: Group Accuse Senator Karimi Of Non-Performance, … Stop the Falsehood Don’t Distract the performing Senator
My attention has been drawn to a malicious write up by one unknown groups named Kogi West Good Governance Forum orchestrated to malign the good records of a performer Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi and published in some online blogs.
I would have not bother myself to dignify the self serving group any response but to keep the reading public abreast of the activities of Senator Sunday Karimi ever since he assumed office one year ago.
For records purpose, Senator Sunday Karimi ever before he was elected Senator to represent the people of the senatorial district on the 25th February, 2023, his nickname used to be Karimi Oniresi, meaning Karimi that always come with rice hence it is strange to the people of Kogi West reading a baseless falsehood just to make their paymaster feel good and distract the ever focus senator.
It is on records that Senator Sunday Karimi has distributed rice and semo vita palliatives more than three times within the year under review aside other supports to individuals or groups.
Just recently, the senator announced one hundred million naira (100, 000, 000) annual bursary scheme for Kogi West students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria, targeting over one thousand students as beneficiaries, an unprecedented initiatives and gesture which has never happen in the history of the senatorial district. A committee handling it has been constituted.
Again, more than 25 youths of the senatorial origin has secured permanent employment with different agencies of the government at the federal level, last week four youths were successful employed by the Nigeria Army. Anyone constituents who said he or she is aggrieved from the seven local government areas of Yagba West, Yagba East, Mopamuro, Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Lokoja and Kogi are only not been truthful to themselves as the senator is working round the clock to change the narrative which is paining some now jobless individuals.
It is laughable for them to claim that Senator Sunday Karimi has not fulfilled any of his campaign promises; none visit the area within the year under review, this their assertion shows that they have lose touch with the reality or may not have adequate information about the activities of the performing senator who is making the district proud, day one he was inaugurated alongside his colleagues into the red chamber.
For their information, the employment of over 25 youths, palliative distributions, the ongoing bursary scheme aside other numerous projects that will be coming onboard shortly are not parts of his campaign promises. To further expose their ineptitude, Senator Sunday Karimi was in Ekinrin-Adde last week where he paid courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke at his country home, or is Ekinrin-Adde now parts of a community in Federal Capital Territory?
The self-serving group know that the constituents already know their antis hence they hide under the cumbersome process of recalling a Legislator in Nigeria, to hide their face away of instituting the process knowing fully well that they will meet a brick wall from the people who took out their time to elect a responsive representative that is giving them a golden voice at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, serving as the Senate Committee Chairman on Senate Services and Deputy Chairman to other statutory committees.
That, he has failed to attract a single project to the districts in terms of infrastructures, roads, and others, shows that they are bereave of ideas of how national budget are been implemented. The group may not be aware that Senator Sunday Karimi is constructing military barrack in Egbe to support the agency and also enhance the security situation of the area. The Senator has assured the people of Kogi West that very shortly, the narrative will change as the procurement process for the 2024 budget is ongoing, as soon as that is completed, people will beginning to see impactful projects that will stand the test of time
Kogi West Good Governance Forum should advise themselves to redirect their energy to other meaningful ventures as Senator Sunday Karimi will not be one of those senators that will only make noise, and rather he is out to make an impact that will last longer. Stop the politics of bitterness
