In a New Year message signed and made available to journalists by the National Public Relations Officer, Lib. Billie Nwogu, the International President advised the liberators to focus on the fight against injustice, gender-based violence, girl mutilation, and all assaults.

“We are the voice for the voiceless and hope for those in need, so, therefore, let everyone be a support system for the less privileged and vulnerable individuals in society.

“I have not taken you for granted because, with you, you made the year 2024 a memorable one.”

“The children you helped, the women you delivered from their oppressors, the men you supported when their wives abused them, the out-of-school children you returned to schools, and the training you organized to shape people for their lives. I am grateful that you allowed yourself to be called to join the vision of Standup For Women Society through me. I feel fulfilled and thankful for you all.”

According to the International President, she urged Nigerians to remain focused saying the more focused they are, the more successful they will be and able to achieve much.”

Barr. Deborah Ijadele Adetona also used the occasion to celebrate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, his wife, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, all leaders across the nation, and Nigerians as a people.

She prayed to God to guide the leaders with wisdom to continue to pilot the affairs of the nation to greater heights.

Ijadele paid tribute to SWS members and Nigerians who died or lost their loved ones in 2024, and prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“Congratulations, we made it, now it is 2025, and we shall be focused on doing more than we ever did in previous years by the grace of God,” she concluded.
