Rt. Hon. Mathew Olusola Kolawole Graces 100th Birthday and 64th Coronation Anniversary of HRH Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro, the Olubunu of Bunu Kingdom
The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and former member representing Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mathew Olusola Kolawole, joined numerous dignitaries and well-wishers in celebrating the 100th birthday and 64th year on the throne of His Royal Highness, Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro, the revered Olubunu of Bunu Kingdom.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Kolawole described the Olubunu as a rare symbol of peace, unity, and fatherly wisdom. He acknowledged the monarch’s exceptional leadership over the decades, noting that his reign has brought unprecedented harmony and development to Bunu Kingdom and beyond.
“The Olubunu is not just a traditional ruler; he is a father to all approachable, accommodating, and a custodian of our cultural heritage. His reign continues to inspire unity among our people and promote the values of respect, humility, and communal progress,” the former Speaker said.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole also used the occasion to appreciate the elders, chiefs, and the entire people of Bunu Kingdom for standing by their monarch over the years. He encouraged the younger generation to emulate the monarch’s virtues of selflessness and dedication to the well-being of the community.
He prayed for continued strength, sound health, and wisdom for the Olubunu, affirming that the celebration of such a historic milestone is a blessing not only to Bunu Kingdom but also to the entire Kogi State.
