Senator Karimi Attends Mopa Adegbederin Day, Says Kabba – Ilorin Road top Priority
Senator Sunday Karimi joined the Elulu of Mopa HRM, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun and the people of Mopaland in the celebration of the inaugural annual Mopa Adegbederin Day 2024.
The Senator who was received by enthusiastic people in his address to the people, congratulated Mopa people for enthroning a cosmopolitan King, HRM, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, with the love of his people as the only motivating factor and drive in his heeding the call of his people to serve as the 4th Elulu of Mopaland.
The Senator further enjoined all Mopa sons and daughters to cooperate with Oba Ibeun to see Mopa return to her rightful place of pride in Kogi State and in Nigeria at large.
Senator Karimi also used the opportunity to address the gathering on the challenges of the Kabba to Ilorin Federal road. While emphasizing that he is working with the Federal Government through the Minister of Works and other relevant Government Agencies on an arrangement that would allow Mangal Cement Plc to undertake a total reconstruction under a special arrangement that will benefits all stakeholders and commuters.
He assured the people that the latest Contractor who have started the rehabilitation from the Ilorin end is being pressured to return to site from the Aiyetoro – Iluaghagba end.
Senator Karimi who also pledged to support all community developmental efforts, donated the sum of Five Million Naira (#5,000,000) to the Mopa community with the alert received on the spot.
The Mopa Adegbederin Day 2025 witnessed a huge turnout of Mopa people home and abroad, lovers of the community and well wishers including top government functionaries.
