Senator Karimi Calls for Prayer and Unity as Nigerians Observe Lent and Ramadan
Kogi West Senator, Sunday Steve Karimi, has urged Christians and Muslims in Nigeria to pray for peace, unity, and progress as they commence their annual fasting seasons.
In a statement, Karimi emphasized the importance of holiness and self-reflection during Ramadan and Lent, saying they offer opportunities for spiritual growth and national supplication.
He encouraged Nigerians to use this period to pray for solutions to individual and national challenges, wisdom for leaders, and development.
Karimi also urged the privileged to empathize with the less fortunate and be their brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, promoting a more compassionate society.
The Senator prayed for the strength to observe the fastings and for them to be accepted as acts of sacrifice.
