THE WHIMS OF KOGI STATE POLITICS AND GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO’ CODE OF CONDUCT.

By Shae Bebeyi

Governor Yahaya Bello is a Man that has the attributes of a Lion; physical strength, sociability, proactive nature, hunting ability and working effectively with the All Progressive Congress’ (APC) family, hence his being called: The White Lion.

A good Leader’ desire will be to choose a good Successor. Yahaya Bello as a visionary Leader will be remembered as a Man that promoted justice, fairness and equivalency; if only he stamps the zoning model or code to Kogi West. This will provide a clear vision for the State’s future and towards achieving it.

Since the creation of Kogi State 32 years ago, it has been 16, 8 and 0 (zero) status – Igala, Ebira and Okun respectively. The Kogi West District has a consensus and equally soliciting for understanding in the polity of Kogi State in the coming governorship election. The Elders, Men, Women, Professionals, all and sundry are singing the same song of zoning to Kogi West.

The clamour is not based on greed, selfishness or injustice; but on the spirit of fairness, equity and justice. Zoning most often enhances democracy, stimulating a more inclusive and participatory political process.

The Yahaya Bello code – supporting zoning to Kogi West at this crucial time will enhance and promote equality and fairness, wider spectrum of perspective and ideas in governance, which will lead to substantial socio political cohesion, and reduce political tension and suspicion.

The zoning of the gubernatorial position to Kogi West is an agitation that will promote stability, thereby reducing the likelihood of a zone or other ethnic group dominating Kogi State’ political power.
The Kogi West people will believe in the Yahaya Bello’ code – the zoning formula to the West, thereby stamping the zoning model for the benefits of the entirety of State’ governance.

Governor Yahaya Bello should be able to negotiate with all the Aspirants, form alliances that will help in achieving this goal. Yahaya Bello is said to understand diplomacy, tactfulness and alliances within and without the family, hence; should use this opportunity to promote peace, economic development and inspire the State towards a common goal.

The Kogi State people, APC family and PDP family; this is our sense, common sense of purpose, devoid of insensitive and unbridled ambition.

Therefore and henceforth, All clarion calls: ZONE KOGI STATE’ GUBERNATORIAL POSITION TO KOGI WEST!
