Titcombe College Old Students Present Award of Excellence to Senator Karimi, Say Second Term Sacrosanct
The Titcombe College Egbe Old Students Association (TCEOSA) Class of 1983-1988 on Easter Sunday presented *Award of Excellence* to the Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi. The award, according to Egbe zonal Chairperson of the set, Mrs Christy Arosanyin is in recognition of Senator Karimi’s major role in the establishment of the CBT Center in Titcombe College Egbe and his unrelenting efforts to give back to his Alma Mater.
Arosanyin was accompanied by the zonal executives and other members of the set.
It will be recalled that in November 2024, the lawmaker, an ex-student of the college donated N10m towards the sustenance of the developmental efforts of the old students in the restoration of the lost glory of their alma mater.
Barely a year later, in August 2025, Senator Karimi completed a 288-seater Modern Digital Learning and Test Centre (CBT centre) worth ₦300 million, also at the college, aimed at facilitating local JAMB and computer-based exams. The project includes a dedicated server room, CCTV cameras, secure perimental fencing, improved water supply system, high-speed internet, solar power, and 288 laptops, developed in partnership with the alumni association, TCEOSA.
The CBT centre aims to reduce travel for students from the area to Lokoja or Ilorin to write examinations.
Presenting Senator Karimi with the award in his residence in Egbe, the message delivered on behalf of the set by the zonal Chairperson partly reads: “He’s never tired of attending to the needs of the College. We remain grateful to him. The senator is the Nehemiah of our time. He is an instrument in God’s hand. The show of love to the entire community by our senator is pleasing. The second coming of the senator is sacrosanct. Nothing can change it. He deserves it. We register our total support, sir. No shaking,”
In his remarks, the senator thanked the set for the honour with a pledge to do more. He also renewed his commitment to prioritizing education development across Kogi West Senatorial District and the state in general.
