Ward 06 Students Appreciate Hon. Emmanuel Obaro for ₦100,000 Bursary Award
Students and beneficiaries of Ward 06 in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State have expressed profound appreciation to Hon. (Dr.) Emmanuel Obaro for his intervention through the 2026 Bursary Award Scheme.
The beneficiaries described the initiative as a demonstration of compassionate leadership and a practical investment in the educational future of young people in the community.
Under the scheme, each beneficiary received ₦100,000, a gesture the students said would provide meaningful assistance to families currently facing the rising cost of education.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hon. Sunday Paul, SSA on Corporate Social Responsibility to the Governor and Chief Consultant to Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, commended Obaro for what he described as a leadership style that goes beyond promises to deliver tangible benefits to the people.
According to him, the bursary intervention was “more than a bursary,” stressing that it was a clear demonstration that the educational aspirations and welfare of young people remain important to Hon. Obaro.
He noted that at a time when many families were struggling to meet educational expenses, the financial support would help beneficiaries address some of their academic needs and remain focused on their studies.
Paul further described the initiative as an example of leadership translated into action, saying that its direct impact on students distinguishes it from mere promises and political rhetoric.
He said the students of Ward 06 were grateful for the gesture and recognized the sacrifice, commitment and vision behind the bursary scheme.
“Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, your investment in our students today is an investment in the leaders of tomorrow,” Paul stated.
The beneficiaries also prayed for God’s continued strength, wisdom and increased capacity for Hon. Obaro, while asking that his efforts toward the development and empowerment of the people be sustained.
They reiterated their appreciation, saying the bursary would not only provide immediate relief but also encourage the students to pursue their educational ambitions with greater determination.
The 2026 Bursary Award Scheme, they said, has further demonstrated the importance of supporting education as a foundation for building an empowered and prosperous Yagba East.
