By Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, Abuja
Democracy Newsline | February 5, 2026.

The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre and Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (North-West), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, nim, has congratulated Hon. Nasir Bala Aminu Jao’ji (Adon Garin Kasar Hausa) on his appointment as Director of the City Boy Movement in Kano State, describing the development as both timely and strategically significant for grassroots political consolidation.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Dr. Dan’agundi hailed the appointment as a reflection of purposeful leadership and sound political judgment, noting that it places “the right person in the right position at a critical moment in our collective political journey.”
According to him, the City Boy Movement—widely regarded as a key grassroots mobilization platform—requires leadership that combines credibility, organizational discipline, and deep community roots. He stressed that Hon. Nasir Jao’ji embodies these qualities in full measure.

“This appointment is not accidental. It is a deliberate decision that recognizes competence, loyalty, and proven capacity for grassroots engagement,” Dr. Dan’agundi stated.

He described Hon. Jao’ji as a seasoned grassroots mobilizer and a philanthropist of high repute, whose influence transcends political, religious, and social boundaries. Dr. Dan’agundi noted that Hon. Jao’ji enjoys widespread respect among Ulama, traditional institutions, women, youth, and community leaders, making him uniquely positioned to galvanize broad-based support for progressive political ideals.
“Hon. Nasir Jao’ji has, over the years, built strong and enduring relationships across all segments of society. This makes his emergence not only appropriate, but thoroughly well-deserved,” he added.
Reaffirming the ideological alignment of the Tinubu Support Group with progressive movements nationwide, Dr. Dan’agundi emphasized the group’s unwavering support for the City Boy Movement and its objectives. He stated that the Tinubu Support Group remains committed to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through unity, coordination, and sustained grassroots engagement.

He further noted that strengthening political structures at the community level remains critical to consolidating gains in Kano State and beyond, especially as the APC continues to deepen its roots across the country.

In a show of solidarity, the Tinubu Support Group in Kano State assured Hon. Nasir Bala Aminu Jao’ji of its total support and full collaboration to ensure the successful discharge of his responsibilities as Director of the City Boy Movement. The group expressed confidence that, under his leadership, the movement will expand its reach, deepen its influence, and play a decisive role in strengthening the political base of the APC across Kano State.

The statement concluded with optimism that Hon. Jao’ji’s appointment will mark a new chapter of effective mobilization, strategic coordination, and inclusive political participation in the state.
