Kano State Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Engr. Ahmed Ishaq Bunkure, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Works, who sadly died today in Egypt.

This tragic news was revealed in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
In his condolence message, Governor Yusuf described the death of Engr. Bunkure as an irreplaceable loss, not only for Kano State but also for his family and the broader political community.
He extended his prayers for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and offered strength to his family to cope with this painful loss.

“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Engr. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” the governor lamented.
Engr. Ahmed Ishaq Bunkure had only recently assumed his role as Special Adviser on Works, making the abruptness of his passing particularly shocking to many. The community mourns the loss of a promising leader whose impact was anticipated to be significant in advancing the state’s development agenda.
