Aftermath Gov. Ododo’s Trip to China, Kogi Welcome China Power Team,

… As Solid Minerals Commissioner Expresses Commitment to harness, explore God given resources in the State.

The trip by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo to China on solid Minerals Development recently has begun yielding fruits, according to the State Team Lead to the visit, Engr Bashiru Gegu.

The State Team Lead that went for the visit with the Governor, Engr. Bashir Gegu, Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, today engaged with Power China team who are in the State following the visit. This the Commissioner explained is in a bid to harness and explore the God given resources in the State.

The Commissioner reiterated Gov. Ododo’s resolve and readiness to harness the Minerals for the benefit of Kogites and humanity in general.

Engr. Bashiru Gegu disclosed that the State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is ever ready to harness the State Mineral resources, expressed confidence that the visit by China Power Team is just the beginning of what should be expected following the visit by the Governor to China.

He expressed the State Government’s unresolved commitment to partnership that would be rewarding to the State, pointing out that the State Governor has created an enabling environment for businesses, particularly in the area of Solid Minerals to thrive.

Engr. Bashiru described Kogi State as ready, with Gov. Ododo ever ready as well as the citizens, said the State is very safe and secure for investors. He assured the China Power Team of all the support that will ensure quick returns on their investment.

Today’s meeting was attended by the Chairman, Economic Adviser, Aliyu NDA Salami, MD Kogi Solid Minerals processing company Ltd, Engr Muhammad O Lawal, also had Mr Mike, the State project consultant.

The Power China Team was led by Ms Yuan Li and other Members of the company, said they are ready to deploy their technology to access, explore and determine the quality and quantity of the Minerals presence in the state.

The area of Minerals listed to be studied and harnessed by the China Power Team include Ilmenite, Casseterite, Iron ore, Tungsten and Sodium.
