Ayisha Ali Bello Empowers Kogi Central Women with Cash, Equipment
The wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Ayisha Ali Bello, on Wednesday empowered women across Kogi Central Senatorial District with cash gifts, sewing machines, grinding machines, bags of rice and other valuable items to support their livelihoods and improve family welfare.
The empowerment programme, which took place in Okene, attracted a large gathering of stakeholders, community leaders, women groups and beneficiaries from different parts of the district.
Speaking at the event, Hajiya Ayisha Ali Bello said the initiative was aimed at supporting women, promoting self-reliance and improving the economic condition of families across the senatorial district.
She noted that women remain critical to societal growth and development, stressing the need to continue investing in programmes that would uplift them and give them opportunities to thrive.
According to her, the distribution of the items was part of her commitment to empowering women and encouraging entrepreneurship among widows, youths and vulnerable persons in the society.
Beneficiaries who received the items expressed appreciation to the wife of the Chief of Staff for what they described as a timely intervention, saying the gesture would go a long way in helping them sustain their businesses and support their families.
Several stakeholders at the event also commended Hajiya Ayisha Ali Bello for her benevolence and humanitarian efforts, describing her as a compassionate woman dedicated to improving the lives of the people.
