Barrister Benjamin Ikani Honored with Democracy Newsline Newspaper Lifetime Achievement Award

The former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Kogi State and a retired Director in the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Barrister Benjamin Ikani, has been recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
According to Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba, Executive Editor of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Barrister Ikani is a legal luminary who has made significant contributions to the profession.
The award is based on reports from a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll, and the recognition will be bestowed on Barrister Ikani during the upcoming 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony.
The event is scheduled to hold on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, with the Red Carpet Ceremony commencing at 5pm, while the Main Event will start by 6pm, followed by a dinner program.
The theme of the event is “Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance,” and it will bring together stakeholders to discuss Nigeria’s democratic progress.
The ceremony will also feature a keynote address from a reputable Nigerian and the launch of a N100 million fund for podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper’s online Television station.
