CHIEF OLUGBEMI FEMI COMMENDS GOVERNOR USMAN AHMED ODODO AND BARRISTER ZACCHAEUS DARE ON LEGAL VICTORY OVER SUPPRESSED CONSTITUENCIES IN KOGI STATE

A frontline aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly to represent Kabba/Bunu State Constituency under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, a veteran journalist and community leader, Chief Olugbemi Femi has commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo and Barrister Zacchaeus Dare for their outstanding efforts in securing a landmark legal victory over the suppressed constituencies in Kogi State.

In a statement, Chief Olugbemi Femi praised Governor Ododo’s leadership and vision in driving development in Kogi State, particularly in ensuring that the people of the state are not denied their right to representation.

He also commended the Executive Chairman, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Barrister Zacchaeus Dare and the legal team for their tireless efforts in securing the victory.

The Federal High Court, Lokoja, has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct elections into the 11 suppressed constituencies, marking a significant milestone in the state’s electoral history.

The court judgement is seen as a culmination of a long-standing struggle for electoral justice, and a testament to the commitment of Governor Ododo’s administration to ensuring that the people of Kogi State are given their due representation.

The judgement is expected to increase the number of constituencies in Kogi State from 25 to 36, giving more representation to the people.

Chief Olugbemi Femi urged INEC to comply with the court order and conduct elections in the suppressed constituencies without further delay, saying it is time for the people of Kogi State to have their voices heard. He also called on the people of Kogi State to remain calm and peaceful, as the development is a positive step towards the growth and development of the state.
