COCIN Church Nukpis Observes Students Week in Grand Style.

It was celebration galore and alot of fun fare at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN),LCC Nukpis, as students of the Church cerebrates their special Week,the event which was the maiden one.

The three days event started from Thursday with series of activities which includes Drama,songs renditions, teachings among others.

According to their leader,they requested for the Church to give them a special day for them to come together and share their experiences with one another.

Nukpis Village,host the Jos University Teaching Hospital, College of Medicine, University of Jos, Federal College of Medical Sciences Laboratory Technology, and National Film Institutes, aside from students of these institutions that are residing in the Community,there are other students from Federal University,Lafia, Federal University of Agriculture,Markudi,Colleges of Health Zawan and Pankshin among others are on attacgmhment in JUTH,

They joined hands with the native students from the Community who are also studying in various institutions in the state and beyond,galvanized their strength together and celebrate the day amids cheers and at the amirations of everyone.

The Women and men Fellowship groups Special numbers was presented by the students.

In his speech,the Leading Pastor of the Church,Rev. Bulus Arin, commended the students for their commitment and efforts to come together and celebrate. He promises the support of the Church always.

In his homily,the guest Speaker, Apostle T.L Leonard from Christian Faiths Institute took his text from the book of Eclessiastis 12:1.

The Guest Speaker asked the congregation rhetorically

why do they exist and anyone that those not know why he exist, can’t serve God.

The word of God is the foundation for all Christians, hence, anyone living a life outside the word of God, he is living base on the world’s system.

Apostle Leonard also decried social vices in the society such as drug abuse,cultism, prostitution are all being perpetrated by the Youths.

To some,Phones has become second god to them.

And as children of God,light should come from them but rather bringing world’s social life into the Church.

As representatives of Christ,you are to give life not death and it is your duty to represent Christ in all your field of your endeavors.

There is need for revival and that can be achieved through prayers.

As a youth and a believer have you found out your assignment according to the word of God?

He further ask what can they offer to this generation? Worldly system is a trap so nobody should comform into it.

He further read from the books of 1 Peter 2:9-10 and 2 Corinthians 3:18.

He further asked where is my destination? And is a question that every mortal on earth should answer.

According to him, Apostle Paul raised men for the Kingdom and he understood where he comes from and was not distracted.

He also reiterated the good virtues of Dorcas and Stephen.

There was a special collection to support the students.
