Tuesday, December 23rd ,2025, was yet another day for Celebration, Jubilation and expression of gratitude to God for the family of Tabitha Bako Bityoung, friends,Relations and indeed the entire people of Jebba local Government area of Kaduna State, along other Thirteen Officers of the Nigeria Police Force were Promoted and decorated with the rank of Commissioner of Police.
The auspicious ceremony which held , at the Louis Edet House,Force Headquarters, and Presided by the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police, IGP Kayode Egbetekun attracted other Senior Police officer,top Government functionaries, family members, friend and Colleagues of CP Tabitha Bako Bityoung, as the ambience was Characterized by Cheers, Congratulatory and Goodwill Messages.

In a Goodwill messages made available to our Correspondent at a gathering that Comprised of family members, friends, Colleagues and other Well-wishers from Jebba local Government Area of Kaduna State, at a reception held to honour CP Tabitha Bako Bityoung at the Dr. Mariam Babangida Nigerian Center for Women Development, Central Bussiness District , Abuja, CP Yusuf Abdul, Commissioner Anti-Human Trafficking,Fcid Abuja, said the Promotion of Tabitha Bako to the enviable rank of Commissioner of Police really calls for Celebration and gratitude to God, describing the feat as a rare privileged which could only be achieved by divine favour, Considering the fact that others amongst her set were not favoured to attain the feat due to either death, dismisal or sickness.
He urged CP Bako whom he said are of the same set at the police College to be loyal and patriotic and ensure her work ethics alligns with that of the Inspector General of Police,Koyode Egbetekun.
Also Speaking, DCP Oki Emesim Rita ,DC Gender, FCID, Abuja, Congratulated Bako for her elevation to the Rank of Commissioner of Police as great feat that could only be achieved through loyalty and deligent service to the Nation.She eulogized the Celebrant for her calm demeanor and humility, a virtue which has distinguished her amongst her Contemporaries, she said.
The former member representing the good people of Zango Kataf / Jebba Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Honourable Godfrey Ali Gaiya who’s currently the Special Adviser, Political Affairs Northwest to the Speaker of the federal House of Representatives, described Tabitha Bako as a role model and a Woman of exceptional Courage who epitomizes hardwork and due process of doing things.
” Tabitha has actually made us proud, she has made history as the first Woman from Jebba local Government Area to become a Commissioner of Police, upcoming female Officers should avoid cutting Corners, he admonished.
Addressing the gathering in a sober reflective mood, Dr. Mogaji Bako Jonathan a younger brother to the Celebrant, expressed gratitude and appreciation to Well-wishers for the show of love and Solidarity, adding that Tabitha’s elevation to the Rank of Commissioner of Police was an act of God, that wouldn’t have been Contemplated by mere mortals, lamenting the absence of their deceased parents who weren’t alive to witnessed the moment with them.
He further expressed Confidence on the celebrant’s ability to discharge her duties according to Specifications, and to also initiate innovative ideas and Skills that would be a plus to the Nigerian Police force.
Prince Bognet Akau a family member, said Tabitha Bako have made them proud with her promotion as a Commissioner of Police and also the first female to attain the feat in Jebba local Government Area of Kaduna State.
He further added that her elevation worth celebrating, Considering testimonies by her set earlier where it was recorded that about 75 members of her set had died , the more reason they were celebrating her promotion to the enviable rank of a Commissioner of Police.
