It was a gathering of who is who as dignitaries from all works of life on Friday attended the funeral service for the late Special Mother In-Isreal, Princess Rosemary Ibimawu Dare, mother of Colonel (RTD) Barrister Abayomi Dare in Kabba, the headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial district.
The burial ceremony which was full of glamour and colourful parade, dignitaries from all sphere’s of life ranging from first class traditional rulers, highly ranked military personnel, top politicians and captains of industries were all in attendance to pay their last respect to the matriarch
The event was earnestly kick started at the famous Mopo family house of the Dare Alasan dynasty in Kabba with a Christian wake keep service.
The Christian wake keep program featured services of songs, benediction, showers and series of encomiums and tribute’s for late Princess Rosemary Ibimawu Dare.
Speaking at the Christian wake keep service, Mr Paul Ajigi, a member of the family described Princess Rosemary Ibimawu Dare as a ” Disciplinerian and Loving mother.
Also, Mr Adebanji David Jimoh, A front line Governorship aspirant at just concluded APC Governorship primary election in Kogi state, said that ”it only takes the Grace of God and a good thing to live a worthy life at the ripe age of ninety-eight years. I therefore wants to implores all the children to uphold her Goodwill and legacies”.
Colonel Abayomi Dare, the deceased son, who spoke on behalf of the children and the family of the matriarch noted the fact that her mother enjoyed God’s benevolence and uncommon grace to have attained this riped age, even when the life expectancy globally is far below what she had spent, it’s still conspicuously clear that am going to miss my mother for her counseling and goodwill for us always.
At the church and thanksgiving service which was held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, District Headquarters, Fehintioluwa quarters, Kabba, Kogi State, for Late Princess Rosemary Ibimawu Dare, Ms/Apostle Ayodele in his sermon admonished everyone irrespective of his or her religious background to run a good race as everyone would be held accountable for his or her deeds while on earth at the last day.
Dignitaries at the funeral service and reception in honour of Princess Rosemary Ibimawu Dare were the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Dele Owoniyi, Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council, the Obajemu of Oweland, Oba Micheal Ibinaiye, Senator Elect, Kogi West, Sunday Karimi, Chief Ben Olowodola, APC leader, Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon Funsho Olorunfemi, Former Chairman, Kabba/Bunu LGA, Adebanji David Jimoh, a former Kogi State APC Governorship aspirant and APC Chieftain in Kogi State, Cmdr (Rtd) Jerry Omodara, State Security Adviser, Engr. Emmanuel Ajibero, President General, Kabba Development Union, Sir Johnson Jimoh, a community leader, Hon. Dayo Akanmode, a former Kogi State APC Governorship aspirant and top military personnel, among others.
