Dr. Muyi Aina to Receive Exemplary Public Service Leadership Award on August 19
ABUJA — The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Dr. Muyi Aina, has been selected to receive the ‘Exemplary Public Service Leadership Award 2026’ at the 16th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony organized by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm. It will mark the 27th Anniversary of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria.
According to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, the award recognizes Dr. Aina’s outstanding leadership at NPHCDA and his commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery, immunization programs, and improving health outcomes for Nigerians.

“Dr. Muyi Aina has demonstrated exemplary leadership through his dedication to accessible and quality healthcare at the grassroots,” Chief Femi said. “His work continues to set a benchmark for public service in the health sector.”
The theme of this year’s lecture is “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigerian Example.” The event will also feature the Induction of distinguished Nigerians into the Good Governance Hall of Fame.
Other dignitaries expected at the ceremony include government officials, traditional rulers, development partners, captains of industry, and civil society leaders.
The organizers said the awards are designed to honor individuals whose leadership has positively impacted governance, democracy and sustainable development across the country.
Dr. Aina is expected to deliver a goodwill message at the ceremony and will be presented with a plaque and citation in honor of his achievements.
