Ebonyi Senator Begins Free Medical Outreach to Constituents

Onyebuchi Nnabu

Ebonyi South Senator, Professor Anthony Ani has announced free medical outreach programme to the people of his zone.

The programme which is scheduled to start on March 16, 2025, will hold in Abuja for all the people of Ebonyi South resident in Abuja.

The announcement has sparked off mixed reactions from some segments of his zone, challenging the rationale behind hosting such event at the Nation’s capital, Abuja.

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State who spoke on condition of anonymity expressed regret that the Abuja medical outreach was insensitive, and misplaced priority.

Senator Ani also disclosed that the medical outreach would capture other residents of Lagos and other states where the people of his zone would access the free medical services.

In an Interview, he noted that the outreach is being organized in collaboration with esteemed partners, including American Health Experts, Heart of Care Providers, and the Nationwide Food Bank Initiative.

According to him: “the outreach initiative is designed to provide high-quality medical services to residents of Ebonyi South Senatorial District in Abuja, as well as neighboring states. It aims to address urgent health concerns, offer preventative care, and ensure that vulnerable communities receive the necessary support and treatment”.

“Key Highlights of the Outreach Program:
• Comprehensive Medical Services: A range of healthcare services will be available, including consultations, diagnostic tests, and treatments conducted by a team of experienced American Health Experts and local healthcare professionals”.

“Collaborative Effort: The partnership with Heart of Care Providers and the Nationwide Food Bank Initiative underscores a united commitment to community well-being and social responsibility”.

“Focus on Community Empowerment: The event is part of Senator Ani’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access and quality for his constituents, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life in the region”

“This outreach is a testament to our commitment to the people of Ebonyi South. By leveraging the expertise of our international and local partners, we aim to bring essential healthcare services directly to the community. We believe that a healthy population is the cornerstone of a vibrant society.”

The Senator said there was nothing wrong that he decided to capture some of his people in Abuja and other big cities, stressing that the main flag off would hold in all the five council areas of Ebonyi South zone.
