Ekinrin-Adde Day 2026: Mrs. Ebun Fadahunsi Bags Distinguished Community Development Service Award
Mrs. Ebun Malomo Fadahunsi, has earned herself the prestigious Ekinrin-Adde Distinguished Community Development Service Award.
This was disclosed in a statement by the EACDA National Publicity Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi during the week.
The Community’s spokesperson noted that Mrs. Fadahunsi earned the award through her steadfast dedication to the development of Ekinrin-Adde community.
Mrs. Ebun Malomo Fadahunsi (née Olorunlagba) was born in 1960 into the respected Olorunlagba family.
Her father, the late Chief Malomo Olorunlagba, was a prominent cocoa produce merchant from Ise-Ekiti, originally from Ilaga in the Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State, while her mother, the late Mrs. Rachael Iyejadeni Olorunlagba (née Olumoroti), hailed from Ilufe, Otun-Adde, also in Ekinrin-Adde.
She began her education at Baptist Primary School, Ekinrin-Adde, before proceeding to Egbe Girls’ College, Egbe, where she completed her secondary education between 1973 and 1978.
She later attended Kabba Teachers’ College for a one-year teacher training programme and obtained her Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Geography/Economics from the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin in 1984. She also participated in the National Youth Service Corps at Ojoto Boys High School, Anambra State, where she was among the pioneer corps members posted to the school.
Her academic pursuit continued at the University of Ilorin, where she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies/Economics and a Master’s degree in Educational Management.
Mrs. Fadahunsi served with dedication in the Lagos State Ministry of Education for 35 years, rising to the ranks of Principal/Director of Education before retiring in February 2020.
She is happily married to Mr. Fadahunsi Gabriel Adedeji of the Ajero Royal lineage of Ijero-Ekiti Kingdom, and their union is blessed with children and grandchildren.
