Eseyin Commends Ododo on Renewed Commitment to Kabba, Oweland
By Samuel Temiloluwa
Hon. Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin, PDP candidate for Kabba/Bunu Constituency I in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the development of Kabba and the wider Owe community.
Eseyin made the commendation in a statement issued on Thursday following a recent engagement between Governor Ododo and the Kabba Community Council of Chiefs, representing the 14 families of Owe Kabba Kingdom.
The engagement also featured a reaffirmation of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the traditional institution.
Eseyin particularly welcomed the governor’s recognition of the confidence reposed in his administration by the traditional institution, as well as his acknowledgement of the Obaro of Kabba and other royal fathers who demonstrated their support for the administration at what he described as a critical period.
According to Eseyin, the governor’s assurance that the confidence placed in his administration would not be taken for granted was significant, stressing that political trust must be sustained through responsive governance, effective representation and tangible development.
He said the recent engagement should translate into meaningful attention to the priorities of Kabba and Owe, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, economic opportunities and social development.
“For Kabba and Owe, the message is clear: the partnership must continue to translate into meaningful attention to the community’s priorities, particularly infrastructure, economic opportunity and social development,” Eseyin said.
The PDP chieftain said the meeting had further strengthened the foundation for what he described as a mutually respectful political relationship between Kabba/Owe and the present administration.
He noted that the confidence demonstrated by the people also comes with expectations of continued engagement, inclusion and delivery of tangible development projects.
Eseyin maintained that Kabba and Owe would continue to engage constructively with the government while ensuring that the interests and aspirations of the people remained firmly on the government’s agenda.
He said the people of Kabba/Owe expected the renewed engagement with the state government to result in concrete developmental outcomes that would improve the wellbeing and economic prospects of residents.
Eseyin urged all stakeholders to sustain dialogue and cooperation in the interest of the development of Kabba, Owe and Kogi State as a whole.
