ESV John Eniwaiye 30 Days in office, as the 4th Branch Chairman of NIESV Kogi State Branch
It has been 30 days since I took the oath of office as the 4th Branch Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers [NIESV] Kogi State Branch, and I can say it has been a worthy experience of steering the Branch on a path of meaningful progress.
I am grateful to the Almighty God for daily loading us with his good blessings; the executive committee members, members of the Branch, ESVs in the Diaspora, Stakeholders and other potential partners for their staunch belief in our capacities to chart a new course for a greater NIESV.
I must say that each and every day, it has been a privilege to serve you and bring the dividends of partnership…
I would also like to extend my profound appreciation to the immediate past Executive Committee and the entire Branch who count us worthy to serve the Branch in this capacity. We also wish to thank the 26th President of the NIESV, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, the Council members for support and that of our very own supporter ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi and others who played a major role in the just concluded NIESV National Conference (Abuja 2025) to the Branch members, all within these 30 days.
Without being immodest, I am pleased to say that we have given a good account of ourselves in the execution of our blueprints in the past 300 days. According to renowned American industrialist, Harvey Firestone “The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.”
This is why the positive feedbacks from our people in the last 30 days have further strengthened our resolve to put the members welfare first in whatever we do and I am confident that together, we can accomplish the task of reforming and restructuring this Noble Profession within and outside Kogi State as we have demonstrated in the 55th National Conference/AGM of this Institution we’re drawing the curtain close today at Abuja, FCT, with an outstanding attendees and representation.
Understandably, we have the challenge of low low participation of members in most of our outing and revenue generation, but as a leader who is determined to reform and restructure the Branch, we are thinking out of the box to shore up our participation and revenue in order to facilitate best performance and development to our Branch through collaboration and partnership. We are conscious of the current challenges and expectations poised by the same, but we promise to deliver on every promises made.
The 2025-2027 Executive Committee members blueprints will be taken in their order of preference.
On our reform and restructuring agenda: the general monthly meeting sponsorship, meeting order, introduction of paper presentation, attendance register, electronic copy of all documents presentation, members database system, stakeholders engagement, ESVs in the Diaspora engagement and collaboration, engagement of EMSA and students at all levels and lots more are already on course,
We have had various meetings with corporate and private entities and we hope to gain the trust of corporate organizations to support our quest to reform and move the real estate sector within the State forward.
The desire for the reform in the real estate industry cannot be done in isolation of Government, corporate bodies, stakeholders and public sector support. This is why we are appealing to the government, organisation, corporate bodies, allied professionals and all well-meaning residence in the State to support our blueprints where necessary.
Our collaboration and engagement with Estate Surveyor and Valuers in the Diaspora is needed beyond financial support but not limited to material input, quality representation, involvement in developing the real estate sector within the State and a good synergy that will promote our blueprints agenda. Be rest assured that your contributions of all kind will be put to great use.
One thing we have also identified since we assumed office is the need to be more professionally and technologically-compliant. We would be providing more services and quality delivery targeted to efficient and effective services and in achieving the completion of the Branch Secretariat building project.
Over and above, we are off to a good start, but we are not going to let complacency set in. While I am proud of what we have achieved in the last 30 days, I am determined to do even more. We will reform and restructure the Branch of our dream.
On this note, I sincerely thank everyone that has contributed in one way or the other to enhancing our performance in the past 30 days. I appeal for your continued support, especially in the actualization of this executive committee blueprints. We are operating an open-door policy. You’re welcome to give us your suggestions and ideas on how to move our dear Institution forward.
Thank you!
