Engr. Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh FNES, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), represented His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) in Ibusa, Delta State, on November 22, 2024.

Delivering the President’s address, Professor Rim-Rukeh urged ADUN to focus its research on addressing Nigeria’s critical challenges, particularly in security, economic growth, and infrastructure, through innovative technological solutions.

According to the President, over ₦70 billion has already been processed for payment to students under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund), further demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting education and empowering the nation’s youth.

In his representation, Professor Rim-Rukeh reinforced the federal government’s commitment to supporting ADUN’s academic and research excellence, underscoring the importance of innovation in national development.

The event featured the conferment of degrees and awards, celebrating ADUN’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s educational growth and development.
