Gov. Yusuf To Meet Tinubu Over Hardship, Hunger In Kano

Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday unveiled emergency plan to meet President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the economic hardship, and prevailing hunger among the general populace in Kano.
Abba Kabir Yusuf who spoke at a meeting with captain of industry, merchants, and other stakeholders of the economic sector at the Government House, Kano explained that the prevailing situation calls for urgent action.

Kabir Yusuf noted that he will personally meet president Bola Ahmad Tinubu to intimate him about the hardship the people of Kano are encountering due to inflation with a view to providing succour to the people.
The governor who showed deep concerns over the economic crisis reaffirmed the determination of his Administration in restoration of the state’s fading commercial glory
He said the rate at which inflation is on the high increase on food stuff and other daily needs was very alarming,hence their was the urgent need to put heads together with a view to finding lasting solution to the menace .
” The purpose of this gathering is to fine tuned modalities on how to address the menace of High inflation,because people are really suffering and we need to do something about this ”
He said Government would do everything possible to providing enabling environment to the business community,stressing that the business community should also reciprocate through adequate payment of tax,so that government would generate revenue to perform optimally.
” we are begging you the business community to pls shun hoarding of food stuff in warehouses , pls bring it out and sell it to the public to curtail the high increase of food stuff, especially at this moment that fasting of Ramadan is quite approaching”
Earlier, The Commissioner of Commerce Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas said the meeting was very timely, geared towards providing solution to the current Hardship people were facing .
