As we gather in joyful celebration of Easter, I extend my warmest and most heartfelt greetings to you all. May the risen Lord Jesus Christ bless your homes, your endeavours, and our beloved nation with peace, prosperity, and renewed purpose.
Easter is far more than a seasonal festival; it is the cornerstone of Christian faith. Its *precise significance* lies in the historical and spiritual reality of the Resurrection — the empty tomb on the third day after the crucifixion. Symbolically, it represents the ultimate triumph of life over death, light over darkness, hope over despair, and redemption over bondage to sin. The resurrection is God’s divine assurance that no grave — whether personal failure, national stagnation, or collective division — is final. Easter prayers, therefore, are not mere recitations but powerful invocations: they plead for the same resurrecting power to transform hearts, heal broken systems, and raise societies from the tombs of division, corruption, and mediocrity. They call us to “rise” — to shed old garments of selfishness and embrace the new life of integrity, unity, and service.

Yet in our nation today, religion, politics, and tribe have divided us long enough. We have allowed these forces to fracture our common humanity and shared destiny. This Easter, I admonish our youths and leaders with urgent clarity:
*Stop selling your conscience and integrity for a token that can only grant you breakfast and not a future.*
Let us change the narrative. Let the resurrection power of Easter resurrect our national conscience. Let us choose collaboration over tribalism, vision over short-term gain, and moral courage over political expediency. The future we desire will not be handed to us by fleeting favours; it will be built by men and women who refuse to trade their souls for momentary comfort.
May this Easter season ignite in every heart the courage to rise above division and the wisdom to build a Nigeria where integrity is the only acceptable currency.
