Hon. Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko Speaks at the Inauguration of the first Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Pankshin,

The Federal University of Education, Pankshin, welcomed its first substantive Vice Chancellor, Professor, Nuel Wanang and Resgirar, Comr. Luntung Yadok in a ceremony held on December 18, 2025.

Delivering a speech, Hon. Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, PhD, congratulated the new Vice Chancellor, saying the appointment marks a significant milestone in the university’s history.

Dr. Olumoko emphasized the importance of academic excellence, thought mentorship, and knowledge building, urging the Vice Chancellor to uphold academic integrity and innovation. “Today, we entrust you with the tradition of academic nobility and dedication to intellectual standards,” he said.

He called on the university community to demand global best practices and technological inclusiveness for sustainable growth. “We must rise to the challenge and influence innovation for development,” he added.

Dr. Olumoko praised the Vice Chancellor’s expertise and experience, saying the university’s destiny depends on his leadership. He concluded by urging all to work towards building a strong university with innovation, scholarship, and excellence.

The ceremony was attended by council members, management, staff, union leaders, and the press.
