Hon Durosinmi Meseko, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC celebrates Nigerian children on Children’s Day.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has released a heartwarming goodwill message to celebrate Nigerian children on the occasion of the 2026 National Children’s Day.
In a statement issued from the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Hon. Meseko described children as the “ultimate anchors of Nigeria’s future” and the bedrock upon which the nation’s long-term prosperity is built. He emphasized that the annual celebration serves as a vital reminder of the collective responsibility to protect, educate, and empower the younger generation.
“Children represent our most precious national resource,” Meseko stated. “As we celebrate them today, we must reaffirm our intergenerational duty to safeguard their rights, nurture their dreams, and shield them from any form of exploitation, neglect, or violence.”
The APC chieftain, who also serves as the Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), lauded the resilient and creative spirit of Nigerian children.
He noted that despite evolving global challenges, the potential of the country’s youth remains a beacon of hope for Africa and the world.
Aligning his message with the Federal Government’s agenda, Hon. Meseko reassured citizens that the administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deeply committed to systemic child protection reforms. He pointed out that policies focused on primary education, pediatric healthcare, and digital safety are continuously being prioritized to create an environment where every child can learn without fear.
The former federal lawmaker concluded his message with a direct call to action for parents, educators, and community leaders.
“Laws alone cannot raise a generation. It takes a deliberate, loving ecosystem. Let us use this day to renew our commitment to being the mentors and protectors our children deserve. I wish all our wonderful children across Nigeria a happy, fun-filled, and safe Children’s Day celebration,” Meseko added.
