In a bold demonstration of responsive and impactful representation, Hon. Fashagba Michael Bebeto, the Councillor representing Okedayo Ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, has once again shown his commitment to people-driven governance.

In less than a year in office, Hon. Bebeto has empowered over 100 widows, widowers, youths, and women with a wide range of support including foodstuffs, cash gifts, and essential household items, as part of his broader effort to uplift the lives of his constituents.

Bags of rice, beans, and garri

Vegetable oil and food seasonings

Hon. Bebeto reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development, noting:

> “My duty as Councillor goes beyond legislation. It is to stand with my people, to feel their pain, and to take action. Empowering widows and supporting youths and women is a moral responsibility, not a campaign promise.”

Hon. Bebeto recognized the critical support of state and local leadership that has enabled him to succeed at the grassroots:

His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his pro-people leadership and consistent support for grassroots development

Hon. (Barr.) Zaccheus Dare Michael, Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA, for empowering councillors and ensuring effective governance at the local level

He further paid glowing tribute to party stalwarts and community leaders whose leadership and mentorship have guided his political journey:

Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni (Mini’s) Respected Ward Leader and former Kogi State lawmaker, whose vision and influence continue to shape the political landscape of Okedayo Ward

Hon. Olobatoke Segun Michael Renowned APC grassroots mobilizer, known across Kabba/Bunu for his ability to unite the people and drive community-focused initiatives

> “These leaders are not only political giants, they are fathers of the ward. Their involvement, support, and consistency are the foundation on which we build our progress,” Hon. Bebeto said.

The Councillor also extended deep appreciation to other key players in Okedayo’s growing transformation story, including:

Hon. Bebeto’s achievements over the past months stand as a clear blueprint for effective local governance. His projects and interventions have consistently targeted:

Youth engagement

Community relief and empowerment

He is redefining councillorship not as a ceremonial role, but as a call to practical service and measurable impact.

Speaking at the event, several community members expressed their gratitude, describing Hon. Bebeto as:

“A man of action”

“A silent achiever”

“A new hope for Okedayo”

There is growing excitement in the ward, as residents rally around this renewed energy of development and unity.
