Hon. Leke Abejide received a visit from the Acting National Chairman of ADC, Comr. Bala Gombe.
The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide received a courtesy visit from the Acting National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at his Abuja office. The visit underscored the importance of collaborative politics and highlighted the party executives’ commitment to strengthening the African Democratic Congress across the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory.
During the warm exchange, Hon. Asiwaju Leke Abejide appreciated Comr. Bala Gombe for holding the party together and taking charge of the party’s leadership as the next in line. Both officials reiterated their focus on improving the structure of the party with Hon. Leke Abejide reaffirming his pledge to support the national chairman, Hon. Bala in taking the structures of the party from people whose aim is to cause divisive destruction to ADC in Nigeria.
The acting Chairman’s visit was part of his efforts to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders of the party. He appreciated Abejide for giving the party visibility and acceptance in many parts of Kogi State and Nigeria. It was your performance, credibility, and direct impact on the people that brought national attention to ADC.
Rt. Hon Leke Abejide is the only standing elected member of the House of Representatives in ADC and the only recognized National leader of the party.
Speaking extensively on the party’s national leadership, he emphasized that the party under his leadership as the acting national chairman remains the authentic and recognized national executive of the African Democratic Congress until the party holds a proper nationalconvention. Maintaining that the party has no vacancies in its leadership structure, rounding up with other discussions centered around several cases ongoing in court against the illegal national leadership coalition by the marauders, that once concluded, the party would reclaim its national secretariat and organise an authentic national convention immediately to bring in fresh executives.
The meeting has some of the Party’s state executive present and stakeholders; Mr Bode Kayode Chief of Staff to Hon. Abejide, Hon. Tayo Johnson, Kogi State ADC Public Relations Officer, Hon. Ashiru Segun, Mr Femi Modehin, and other ADC critical stakeholders.
Hon. Abejide, MHR, and other stakeholders concluded with a mutual resolve to maintain the structure of the party by building solidly on the authentic National Leadership of the party under the leadership of the acting chairman Comr. Bala Gombe and strengthening the party across the 36 states in Nigeria and the FCT.
