Ignore Desperate Lies About Emergence of Consensus Candidate – Olayinka Braimoh Campaign Organization

Our attention has been drawn to a poorly written, unsigned, and disjointed statement being circulated on certain WhatsApp platforms by some desperate people claiming that one gubernatorial candidate has been selected by the Central and Western Senatorial Forum as the consensus candidate for the November 11 election,

As far as we in the Action Alliance (AA) and Olayinka Braimoh Campaign Organisation are concerned, no group has made any such declaration or decision. We have enquired from all the relevant officials of the various groups in Kogi West and Central Senatorial Districts and all of them have disclaimed and disowned the so-called statement.

We, therefore, call on all supporters of the Action Alliance (AA) and its gubernatorial candidate, Olayinka Braimoh, to ignore these false claims and continue with the ongoing consultation and mobilisation.

Some people are not comfortable with the wide acceptance that the message of wealth creation, wealth distribution, and wealth retention being articulated by Mr. Braimoh is enjoying among the populace. That is why they are pulling all tricks to stop our candidate from proceeding in the race. We however need to reiterate that the bid by Mr. Braimoh to become the next governor of Kogi State is not a mere aspiration, it is an assignment by God almighty, who is the owner and giver of power.

If those who are forging and circulating false statements about the emergence of a so-called consensus candidate cannot get somebody who can write simple, grammatically correct sentences to convey their wish, then they are an unserious bunch and they should stop portraying our elders and people in such bad light. They should stop misrepresenting our esteemed leaders.

The leaders and people of Kogi Central and Western Senatorial Districts, and indeed the entire state, are knowledgeable, sophisticated, experienced, and highly discerning people. They will not have anything to do with these statements written in poor grammar as the ones in circulation.

Signed

Musa Olumayowa YakubuO

Lokoja.
