Isah Ajiji: A Workaholic Legislator Redefining Jos East Constituency

By Azi Peter – Jos

As the Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Isah Madaki Ajiji has made an indelible mark on Jos East Constituency. Since taking office, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development of his constituency, delivering impactful projects and programs that have transformed the lives of his people.

Under his leadership, significant strides have been made in education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure. Some notable achievements include:

– Establishment of a branch of the Plateau State Polytechnic in Angware, bringing education closer to the people.
– Construction and renovation of classrooms, including a nomadic primary school in Febas and a two-classroom block.
– Payment of WAEC examination fees for over 40 candidates at Government Secondary School, Kudedu.
– Construction of clinics in Rifar (Atili) and Talata Village.
– Empowerment of thousands through employment opportunities and skill acquisition programs.
– Renovation of the Christians Association of Nigeria Secretariat, a mosque in Fusa, and the Palace of the District Head of Fursum.

In the area of security, Hon. Ajiji has:

– Trained and empowered hunters, vigilante groups, and other security organizations.
– Lobbied for the establishment of a Police Division in Maijuju and a Civil Defense Division in Fobur.

To improve communication, seven villages will soon be installed with booster antennas. Additionally, the legislator has:

– Donated a new vehicle to the Afizere Cultural and Community Development Association.
– Provided fertilizers and farm inputs to farmers.
– Pledged to construct a N50 million Community Hall in Fursum.

Despite these numerous achievements, Hon. Ajiji remains focused on serving his people, dismissing allegations that his performance is driven by a quest for re-election. As Jos East adheres to its zoning arrangement, with the next representative expected to come from Fursum District, Hon. Ajiji’s legacy as a dedicated public servant continues to inspire his constituents.
