Jubilation as Management of KSU, Kabba Refunds Application Fees to Students
Students of Kogi State University Kabba have expressed satisfaction with the government of the state and university management for the refund of their application fees.
Recall the immediate past Governor of the State, Yahaya Bello, made a promise in January during the maiden matriculation ceremony of the university to refund the application fees to the all the matriculating students.
Students who spoke with our team expressed satisfaction that the refund has now been made to them. A student of Mass Communication who wished to be known simply VickyBee noted that the money came at the right time when she needed it the most.
The spokesman of the school, Hon Tade Oshaloto on Monday told journalists that the Vice Chancellor and his team are not leaving any stone unturned in providing the right leadership required to pilot the affairs of the school to an enviable height.
Hon Oshaloto said the school under the leadership of professor KIT Eniola has also commenced its IJMB program which will assist the students on their journey to the university especially those who could not secure admissions this year due to one reason or the other. The PRO urged them to take advantage of the program to join their mates in 200 level if they meet up the requirements.
Oshaloto also acknowledged the refund of the two thousand naira application fees to all students as directed, stressing that the institution is a digital citadel of learning that will provide solutions to so many societal problems through the kind of training the students will receive in the course of their studies under the fatherly supervision of the Vice Chancellor.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Governor who led the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB; Vice Chancellor, Professor Eniola Kehinde and other management staff on a visit to the Office of the Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Funds, (TETFUND) in Abuja recently to make case for the institution to be considered for intervention projects which, according to him, will have a long lasting impacts when those projects are approved.
He said Governor Ododo has shown he is a leader who believes in the overall development of the entire sectors of the state, pointing out that his last visit to the institution had a tremendous impact on the ongoing projects as funds were being released for the projects to be completed as scheduled.
