Justice Ajileye’s New Books, Educational Foundation for Indigent Students to be Unveiled in Abuja

ABUJA — Two landmark publications on electronic evidence authored by renowned legal scholar and retired High Court Judge, Professor Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye, will be publicly presented on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Abuja.

The event, being organised by the Committee of Friends of Professor Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye in collaboration with stakeholders in the legal, academic and justice sectors, will also feature the formal launch of the Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye Educational Foundation for Indigent Students.

The books scheduled for presentation are Electronic Evidence (Second Edition, 2026) and A Compendium of Cases on Electronic Evidence, Volume Two (2020–2025).

The event will hold at the Ultra-modern Conference Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

According to the organisers, the publications represent a major contribution to the development of jurisprudence and legal scholarship in Nigeria and beyond. They provide updated analyses, contemporary judicial decisions, practical insights and authoritative guidance on the evolving role of technology and electronic evidence in modern legal practice.

In a statement jointly signed by Tawo E. Tawo, SAN, Chairman of the Committee, and A. A. Malik, SAN, Secretary, the organisers disclosed that the event would bring together distinguished members of the judiciary, senior legal practitioners, academics, policymakers, law enforcement agencies, technology experts, philanthropists, students and other stakeholders interested in the intersection of law, technology and justice administration.

The statement further revealed that the launch of the Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye Educational Foundation for Indigent Students is intended to provide scholarships, educational support, mentorship opportunities and other forms of assistance to financially disadvantaged students with exceptional potential.

The foundation, inspired by Professor Ajileye’s personal life journey and commitment to scholarship, is designed to help young people overcome financial and social barriers to educational advancement.

Having risen through hard work, perseverance and dedication to learning, Professor Ajileye has distinguished himself as a jurist, scholar and public servant. The organisers noted that the foundation seeks to convert the inspiration of his life story into practical support for deserving students across Nigeria.

Members of the public, educational institutions, professional associations, corporate organisations, development partners and friends of education have been invited to participate in the event and support the foundation’s vision of expanding access to quality education for indigent students.

Further details regarding the programme, special guests, book reviewers and other activities scheduled for the occasion will be announced in
