Kogi Guber: Friends and Associates Donates 50million to Senator Smart Adeyemi to Purchase APC Intent and Nomination forms
Ahead of the Governorship election primary of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kogi State scheduled to hold in April this year, some friends and associates of Senator Smart Adeyemi (CON), who hailed from Kogi
state yesterday called on the award winning lawmaker to contest for the highest office in the state.
According to them, it is time for Kogi west senatorial district where the senator is currently representing to produce the Governor of the state, noted that Kogi East and Central senatorial districts has been privileged to rule the state at one time or the other hence for equity, fairness and justice it is expected Governor Yahaya Bello will do the needful by supporting power rotation to the zone.
The group who have raised fund for him to purchase the governorship Intent and Nomination forms, promised to rally round his aspirations and galvanize support across the entire state for him.

The groups which cut across the three senatorial district of kogi state in their separate remarks said what necessitated their decision to call and donates fund for Senator Smart Adeyemi to contest for the governorship seat is due to his courage, carriage, capacity, great antecedents, experience, exposure, vision, patriotism, detrabalized nature, oratory prowess, maturity, passion and delivery capacity.
Speaking further, they noted with nostalgia the remarkable achievements of Senator Smart Adeyemi across the three senatorial district of the state and his qualitative representation at the floor of the senate.
They further explained that fifty of them who are beneficiaries of his kind gesture came together to raise the money and made the official presentation of the draft cheque Fifty Million Naira on behalf of others yesterday.
According to them the bank draft was procured on Friday the 17th of february, 2023 but they were unable to present it to him as the senator was away for the APC presidential campaign in Maiduguri.
While responding, Senator Smart Adeyemi thank the group for their unanimous decision, also implore them to deliver the APC at the poll in the forthcoming election by voting massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettima and other APC candidates.
Senator Smart Adeyemi described the APC presidential, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and hid running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima as personalities of intellectual capacity, track record and impeccable character, therefore the best combination to move Nigerians to another level of progress and prosperity.
The meeting had in attendance, Hon Nathaniel Ojo Taiwo, Engineer Ben Owoleke, Hon Ade Olamife, Hon Akin Akinola from Kogi West Senatorial District, Omale Isaiah, Mr Dan Ameh, Mr Philip Omale from Kogi East Senatorial District, Chief Sule Ebira,Hon M. I Abubakar and Ahmed Yinusa from Kogi Central Senatorial District amongst others.
