Kogi LG Elections: Chief Julius Arokoyo Celebrates with Governor Ododo, Barrister Dare Zaccheaus, and Other APC Candidates for Their Victories

Chief Julius Arokoyo, the immediate past Permanent Member of the Kogi State Primary Health Care Agency and the candidate from the Odolu ruling group for the Obadofin of Oweland, expressed his joy alongside the kind-hearted Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, over the overwhelming success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all 21 local government areas and the 239 political ward councilors in the recent local government elections held on October 19, 2024.

In a statement signed and shared with news outlets in Lokoja, Arokoyo emphasized that this significant victory was a result of the purposeful leadership demonstrated by Governor Ododo since he assumed office on January 27, 2024.

He highlighted that the state, under the governor’s capable leadership, has embarked on a path of development, thanks to policies and programs that have positively impacted the people. Notable achievements include the prompt payment of salaries to civil servants, improved urban and rural road infrastructure, and advancements in health and education. He remarked that the state has never experienced such progress.

Arokoyo also took the opportunity to congratulate Barrister Dare Zaccheaus on his election as Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, as well as the fifteen newly elected councilors and other local government officials for their victories.

He prayed for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and good health for all elected officials to effectively carry out their responsibilities. He urged them to prioritize good governance to benefit the people in their respective constituencies.

Arokoyo concluded by reminding them that with significant power comes great responsibility, encouraging them to emulate Governor Usman Ododo, who has placed the welfare of the citizens at the forefront of his people-oriented policies, programs, and projects that will have a lasting positive impact on the populace.
