Kogi Security Adviser Shines at FUL 9th Convocation, Honored with Distinguished Personalities Award

The Federal University Lokoja 9th Convocation ceremony will come up Saturday, 18th October, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic calendar. As part of the lineup activities, an Institution Partnership Award ceremony was held at the Felele Campus to recognize distinguished personalities who have made outstanding contributions in their chosen fields. Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, was among the esteemed awardees.

Commander Omodara was honored for his exceptional dedication to corporate service and security, reflecting his commitment to promoting safety and stability in Kogi State. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi, highlighted Commander Omodara’s unwavering support to the University community, which has been instrumental in fostering a conducive academic environment.

In response to the recognition, Commander Omodara expressed his gratitude to the management of the Federal University Lokoja for the special honor. He also congratulated the University on the success of its 9th Convocation ceremony, applauding the institution’s dedication to academic excellence. This gesture underscores Commander Omodara’s humility and appreciation for the University’s acknowledgment of his contributions.
