PRESS RELEASE
KOGI STATE POLICE ANNOUNCE PHYSICAL AND CREDENTIAL SCREENING FOR 2025/2026 POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT
The Kogi State Police Command hereby notifies the general public, particularly indigenes of Kogi State who successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, that the Physical and Credential Screening Exercise for shortlisted applicants will commence on Monday, 9th March, 2026 and end on Saturday, 18th April, 2026.
The screening exercise will take place as follows:
Venue: Police Barracks, A Division, Lokoja (NTA Roundabout), Kogi State
Time: 7:00am daily
Applicants are advised to carefully note the following guidelines:
1. The screening exercise will be conducted from 9th March to 18th April, 2026 for all shortlisted applicants from Kogi State.
2. Applicants are required to visit the official recruitment portal at https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng to check their application status, confirm their screening date, and print all necessary documents required for the exercise.
3. All applicants are expected to report strictly on the date and time indicated on their invitation slip, as failure to comply may lead to disqualification.
4. Applicants must come to the screening venue with the following documents neatly arranged in two white flat files:
• Application Submission Slip
• Physical Screening Form
• Invitation Slip (showing table number)
• Credential Screening Form
• National Identity Number (NIN) slip or card
• O’Level Certificate(s)
• Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
• Local Government/State of Origin Certificate
• Trade Test Result (for specialist applicants, where applicable)
• Completed Guarantors Form with passport photographs
• Two recent passport photographs attached to the files
5. Dress Code: Applicants are required to appear at the venue dressed in white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
6. Applicants who fail to present the required documents, do not comply with the prescribed dress code, or appear outside their scheduled date will not be attended to during the screening process.
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello, PSC, mni, wishes to reiterate that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge. Applicants and members of the public are therefore warned to beware of fraudsters and advised to promptly report anyone who demands money or promises assistance in the recruitment process.
The Command encourages all applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly and disciplined manner throughout the exercise to ensure a smooth and transparent screening process.
The Commissioner of Police further reassures the good people of Kogi State of the Command’s commitment to professionalism, transparency, and strengthening the Nigeria Police Force through the recruitment of qualified and capable individuals. He also calls on residents to continue supporting the Police with credible information to enhance security and public safety across the State.
