Leke Abejide Legacies Defenders Disburse Grants To Over 250 Small-Scale Business Owners.

The Leke Abejide Legacies Defenders Team has disbursed grants to 250 small-scale businesses across Yagba and beyond, the physical disbursement was done at the 3 local governments of Yagba East, Yagba West, Mopamuro today while successful online applicants also received their support.

The grant represents the practical commitment of Hon. Leke Abejide and the Leke Abejide Legacies Defenders to support nano, micro, and small-scale entrepreneurs in building a new level of success on the strength of the leverage provided to them by the team’s driven initiatives.

The team disbursed the grant to over 250 successful applicants, out of the numerous business owners who applied for it both online and offline to support their businesses.

Beneficiaries in the first batch of the scheme were petty traders, online business owners, artisans and people who have shown great entrepreneurial skill in doing so much with very little resources, through the support of the Leke Abejide Legacies Defenders, business owners have received capital support from 30,000-100,000 offering them the financial support needed to grow their businesses, and contribute even more to the economic growth of the communities where they live.

“Our model for small-scale businesses is geared towards supporting them to grow, gain stability, and giving them the chance to thrive. It is akin to the age difference between giving someone fish and teaching him how to fish.”

Our target of 250 business owners in the first phase has been achieved successfully and we are optimistic that the beneficiaries will put in honest effort to put the money in their respective businesses.
