Millennium Club Marks 25 Years with Youth-Focused Football Tournament in Kabba

As the Millennium Club celebrates its Silver Jubilee, the streets of Kabba are once again alive with the sound of whistles, cheers, and the unmistakable rhythm of youth in motion.

In honour of 25 years of service, mentorship, and community transformation, the club has launched a novelty football tournament featuring six secondary schools from across the region.

The opening match kicks off on Monday, October 13th, with St. Augustine College Kabba facing off against Claret Secondary School Kabba.

From there, the tournament unfolds with a series of spirited fixtures, each beginning promptly at 8:00 AM.

On Thursday, October 16th, Kabba Community High School Kakun will meet Government Science Secondary School Okedayo.

The action continues on Tuesday, October 21st, as St. Barnabas Secondary School Kabba challenges St. Augustine College Kabba in a highly anticipated rematch.

Monday, October 27th sees Local Government Secondary School, Otu-Egunbe take on Kabba Community High School Kakun, followed by Claret Secondary School Kabba versus St. Barnabas Secondary School Kabba on Friday, October 31st.

The final group match is scheduled for Thursday, November 6th, when Government Science Secondary School Okedayo faces Local Government Secondary School, Otu-Egunbe.

The tournament’s grand finale will take place in December, promising a celebration of not just athletic excellence but the enduring values of the Millennium Club: discipline, unity, and youth empowerment.

Founded on the principles of service and structured mentorship, the Millennium Club has grown from a local youth gathering into a global network of professionals committed to societal impact. This tournament is more than a sporting event, it is a living tribute to the club’s legacy and a vibrant reminder that the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

In every pass, tackle, and goal, the youth of Kabba are not just playing they are learning, leading, and laying the foundation for the next 25 years of transformation.

The Millennium Club continues to stand as a beacon of hope and readiness, proving once again that when youth are equipped and inspired, they become unstoppable forces for good.

The club recognises Mr. Thomas Oye, a friend of the club of over 15 years for his sponsorship of this tournament on behalf of Millennium Club
